Images from the Interweb!

Today I was pondering what all would come up if I Googled Pineapple Explosion and I got this page. Notice how I"m seventh on the list of pineapple explosions. How common a name is that? Anyway, the two circled things in that picture are both pineapple and explosion  related pictures! Upon investigation I discovered they're really cool pineapple and explosion related pictures! If I can manage it I'm going to post the pictures below my handing Google search image. Oh, and I take NO credit for either of them! I'm not a member of DevianArt and my pictures on Flickr aren't that awesome.

First, this one is the one from Flickr (or the second circled link on my Google illustration). Yes, it was titled Pineapple Explosion. Pretty cool, right? I can see the pineapple-ness. Apparently,  "it's a picture of a wall with lights in a Spanish modern art museum"  Or so the photographer told me. ; ) If you want to check out more photography by this man that took this here's the link to his Flickr account. I DO NOT OWN!   http://www.flickr.com/photos/steven2358/

This one was the first link found on Google. Obviously, it's the one I found on DevianArt. I've always thought that was an odd name for a website! DevianArt. Okay, that tells me little about your site other than there's art there that may or may not be devian. Anywho, I thought this was pretty cute. So I don't get sued or anything for claiming this as my own, which it ISN'T, here's the link to the creator's account!http://friendly-mushroom00.deviantart.com/

That completes my tour through the world of pictures titled Pineapple Explosion! Check back again to see more of whatever else pops into my head! Adios and keep electronics dry. They get rather angry and spark if you soak them in water.

Books

.
Given the amount of time I've had on my hands lately, you'd think I'd be posting more on here! But no. I have read two books in the last week so that should count as something. Hey, because I don't know what else to write as of this very moment I'll tell you about this books!!

To the right you shall see the first book I finished, City of Glass by Cassangra Clare. It's the third and final in the Mortal Instruments series and I really enjoyed it. It seems like a teenage girl sort of romance/paranormal action book. If you're into any of the following I would defintley read it: demons, angels, people getting hurt all the time but being okay since they can heal themselves with drawings, and headstrong teenage girls that get themselves into trouble as they're too in love with demon fighting boys.

Next up we have Angel: A Maximum Ride Novel by James Patterson. I wouldn't suggest picking this one up and reading it either...it's the eighth in the series if I remember correctly. You'd be hopelessly confused. But I would give this series a go if you like: groups of teenagers with wings, mind numbingly fast paced books, three page long chapters, witty and snarky comebacks from the mind of a teenage girl, and constant near death situations.

Those were the books I read! There's another I'm reading presently called Toads and Diamonds but I haven't fnished it quite yet. On a last quick note, American history is immensley boring! We had two wars, yeah. That's cool I guess. But when you have to hear about them setting up our government and the huge debt they were in after the Revolutionary Wars isn't all that exciting. I just thought I'd share that with you all. Watch the roads while you're driving. Animals always think the best place to try to hitch hike is from the middle of the roads. Silly creatures!

Cookie Monster

Personalized background? Can I get a yes? I'll have you know that it's insanely hard to write neatly when you're using a crappy mouse. Let's just say that took much longer to make than it really should've. Oh well. I was bored with the whole dry dessert and lightning thing. Was that the right dessert I just used? I never can tell the difference between desert and dessert. You can't even say same difference to those two considering one is tasty and the other is....deadly.

So if you're a facebooker yourself you know that they changed the profile page layout. Stupid, right? I kind of miss that pointless little box where you put some random thing about you. I do like the banner feature though. If you haven't heard of these banners of you're not on Facebook, you can get a banner that fills up the four boxes at the top of your profile page where pictures of you go. I thought this was a freakin' awesome idea so here is the banner that I got on my profile page for your viewing pleasure.

Snazzy, right? Wow, I'm using a lot of rhetorical questions today. Anywho, I had to do some slight alterations to the picture as not to compromise both my identity as a teenage girl or secret agent. But you got the general gist of my page. No one can resist the Cookie Monster.

Grr, school tomorrow. That means I need to stop procrastinating, play my flute some more, write some more in my story, then sleep. Sadly, blogging is not listed in that list. Adieu, adieu. Never try to lick a wall painted with textured paint. It doesn't end well.

Uninspired

Remember a few posts ago when I gave you the trailer for the movie I Am Number Four? Well, I went to see it with my bestest friend Kaley today. My opinion? Loud but excellent. The girl from the Sorcerer's Apprentice played "Numbah Six" (she's Australian so when she say's Number it comes out as Numbah) and was pretty freakin' awesome. For one, she had an epic motorcycle and a nice wardrobe. If I had to become a movie character for some strange reason, say my current identity was compromised in some totally unlikely circumstance, I wouldn't mind becoming her. My one issue with the movie was that they didn't seem to have names. Sure, the cute main character guy that played Number Four had a name but it was made very clear it was a fake name. And then Numbah Six told one of the other characters her name was Jane Doe in jest (ha ha, jest) but they had to have names from their home planet. I'd have to have a set name other than "Numbah Six" if I was going to become the character, though.

As the title today said, I'm not feeling very inspired. Countless times today I've brought up this document but gotten distracted by other more flashy ideas. Which means I resort to my fallback idea and give you cute puppies! Enjoy. My daily words of advice? Check your food before eating. Lord knows what could be waiting in it.

Nick's Post

At the request of one crazy kid I was hanging out with while offstage during the musical, this post is dedicated to him. Oh, and his Justin Bieber hair. Though I heard that Justin Bieber said some pretty nasty stuff about Americans in his interview with Rolling Stone. "You guys are evil," he jokes. "Canada's the best country in the world." Yeah, that's the way to gain fans in America...

If you haven't noticed I haven't exactly been prompt with my blogging. That is because this week was our performance of Guys and Dolls Jr. Surprisingly, it didn't go all that bad! It went rather smoothly and the audience didn't actually hear us tromping around backstage like a troop of massive bulls that have a passion for singing, dancing, and general acting. Overall, not a bad production for a group of middle schoolers.

I'll be more interesting tomorrow. I've just been procrastinating and haven't gotten this out. That is why I'll give you a picture of the cake I'm eating while writing this for you. Enjoy! But don't try to eat it...it's not really there.

On a Valentines Day!!

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! As I promised here is that picture I drew. It’s sort of all the things that come to mind whenever I think of the day.

 016

I hope you can see it. My hands are a little shaky the flash sort of bleached out the photo. The word next to the music notes is “cursive”. Also, the thing below day next to the candle is a pair of chairs at a table.

There you have it! There’s nothing more for me to say now. Adios! Fluff your pillows to keep neck cramps away.

Tempremental Toilet

Write now, as I type this, the toilet in my basement is plotting my downfall. Yes, it's down there planning its next move. Will it flush the next time I do my...business? Or will it make me guess as to whether it will work with the water on or off. That toilet must be stopped! However, I took an oath never to harm defenseless appliances....even if they are evil and kenieving.

Now that that is out of the way I can move onto other topics. I'm about to leave for my first riding lesson in a while where I don't think I'll be frozen to my core when it's over! Apparently, we're getting a February thaw this year. Hopefully I'll be able to walk up the gravel walk to the barn today. Last time my dad had to literally drag me along to keep me from ending up on my rear. Boots don't give you much traction on ice...now I know what it's like for my dog on tile floors.

Hmm, I had better go get ready for afore said lesson. Let's hope I can feel me fingers the whole time! Happy pre-Valentine's Day. I'll be posting tomrrow with a special picture I created for the occasion. Don't lick frozen posts!

The Meaning of Tall

Spring needs to come soon! Does anyone have Mother Nature's contact information? The temperature outside is incredibly ridiculous. I'd like not to have to fear for my life as my mother drives down our icy driveway... Nothing against my mom's driving! She's perfectly capable of not crashing and stuff. It's just when the wheels start sliding its not all that amazing.

Okay, anyways! Today was, according to my Facebook profile, Hug a Tall Person Day. Exciting, right? But what qualifies you as being tall? According to many people I myself am tall. Seeing as the average height of girls my age is around 5'5 I suppose I would be considered tall at 5'7ish. What height do you consider to be where someone should be called tall? This shall be my goal of the month! Please post what you think in the handy dandy comments area below and I'll let you know later what I find. Hopefully we'll learn the true meaning of tall! (thought I severely doubt it)

On a completely unrelated subject I am insanely excited for an upcoming movie, I am Number Four. If you haven't seen the trailer yet I'll post one below. But it looks amazing! At lunch the other day I was talking with a friend whom is also excited about it for no real reason. There's a scene where we were trying to figure out whether "Number 6" was good or not as she's tackling "Number 4" on what I'm assuming is a football field while "Number 4" shoots lightning or something out of his hand while screaming. Epic, right?

Well, check the clip out and post your thoughts on tall-ism. Oh, and stare off dramatically into the distance every so often. It confuses your enemies.

Super Bowl Tuesday

How many people watched the Super Bowl Sunday? Or rather, how many of you reading watched the comercials yesterday? Personally, I loved the Volkswagon one with the little Darth Vader trying to use the force on things. Maybe because I do the same on a daily basis minus the complete costume? Who knows. But I guess I should say something about the teams playing and such. Packers and Steelers, woo. I had 500 imaginary dollars on the Steelers but oh well.

To tell the truth I actually didn't watch the Super Bowl. I heard muffled shouts of the announcers through my iPod headphones in the car on the way home. See, we had a dilema over the weekend in my household. On Friday we were supposed to catch a flight to Cairo on a little mini weekend vacation. Little did they know in the night when everyone was asleep I was going to sneek out and complete my latest mission I recieved from my agency. But, as you will know if you've even glanced at the news lately you'll know that Egypt was still is in up roar right now with riots going on an such.

Anyway, I didn't press the matter of our not flying to Cairo over the weekend as I didn't want to endanger my family just for one mission. I ended up sending my assignment on to another agent stationed in Egypt so they could take care of it. However, that left our weekend free. So instead of leaving the country on a whim and endangering out lives we drove to Illinois to visit some family. Exciting, right? Seeing as my father didn't want to drive in traffic on the way home we left right as the Super Bowl started, therefore hindering my commercial watching abilities.

That is also why this is my first post in several days. I'll be better tomorrow. I promise! Anywho keep a weather eye on the horizon.

Questionmania

Today I was pondering this while in the car coming home from Walmart; I really enjoy filling out questionnaires. I don't know why I have this strange love for them. Well...I guess it wouldn't be a love. Its more of a fondness or enjoyment I suppose. Anyways! I have composed my own questionnaire to let you who don't actually know me find out random things! And if you want, fill it out yourself and post your answers in the comment box. (They're not going to be super personal questions so I can come hunt you down or anything!) So here we go!

Name: Nicole

Like: Writing, acting, funny movies, good books, laughing, ect.

Dislikes: Typos, sunny days when there's snow on the ground, the sound of nails across taut fabric, ect.

If you got a Mercedes for a day with whom you would like to go out for a drive: That would be impossible! People don't give fourteen year olds Mercedes and say "go find someone to drive with!"

What is the strangest dream you had till date: Possibly the one when I was in first grade where a man was going to kill himself with a baseball bat but a crazy lady came up behind him to kill him with a dead fish. He turned around, grabbed the fish, and smacked her head off! Terrifying.

If you were marooned on an island with someone, who do you think that person would be: Probably Kaley (my best friend in the world). She would probably be the one navigating while I was driving the boat...do you drive a boat? Anyways, she has horrible sense of direction (don't deny it, Kaley) so we would probably crash into the island.

What color top are you wearing: A red one!

If you were to produce movie about yourself, which actor or actress would you cast as you: AnnaSophia Robb. See below.

Fruit cake or black forest: What??

There you have it! Insights into the life of me! Feel free to answer all or none of these as it strikes your fancy. Don't lick lined paper, the ink will stain your tongue.

Shout Out to the International Readers!

Oh goody, another snow day today! The winter weather is sure hitting Missouri hard this year. Really, it's just hitting the country hard! Yesterday when the worst of the weather rolled through I heard that the only state that wouldn't get snow from this would be Florida. I sort of wish I was in Florida right now...

So, like the dork I am, I get on every day and check the stats on my blog. It amazes me every day how many people get on and read it! I don't know how many of these people just get on by chance thinking they'll find a site that shows fruit exploding but either way, the number is impressive. A cool feature is that I can see what country you people are all from! A bit stalkerish, right? But here's a shout out to you international readers!  You make my day whenever I see someone has visited from Slovenia or any other country I can't plot on a map. Oh, and a specific thank you to Sam ____ for reading and telling me how awesome I am! Right back attcha!

Why, do you ask, is there a picture of Woody and Buzz? Because I googled "Best Pictures of 2010" and these two came up. Well, other came up but they were my favorite and gave me a chance to talk about my childhood love of Toy Story. See, when I was in my youth (my younger youth) I would watch Toy Story daily! Somehow that memory didn't stick with me but I do still love me some Toy Story. Vote in my poll to the right on which is your favorite character. The people want to know! (Actually, I just want to know)

That's all I have for you today! Longer post than usual, right? Maybe I'm just babbling more than usual. At any rate, I shall leave you now with only one bit of advice. Always cap your markers in order to avoid marker catastrophes.
