Do you know what I don’t understand? Man hugs. During musical season when I just came off stage from singing one of my duets a seventh grade guy mentioned several posts ago (Nick) tried to teach me how to man hug since I was a gangster and stuff. I couldn’t get it! You watch guys on TV or in real life do it and you’d think its not all that hard. But there are several steps to the man hug!
First you have the hand shake thingy which is deceptively simple. You just think “Oh, we’re going to have a nice, polite handshake. Okay!” But then you commence the hug portion and things get dicey. Your one hand is still occupied in the handshake while you’re closing in on the hug. When do you let go of their hand? Where does your hand go? When do you stop hugging? These are the questions that haunt me in the middle of the night.
But seriously! If you are a girl and you haven’t experienced a man hug I suggest you attempt one and find out how very confusing it is! And embarrassing if you’re like me and can’t quite grasp the concept. –sigh- Quite confusing. I was certainly not meant to be a guy.
I have some American Idol results show to watch now so I’ll leave with man hugs to ponder. Attach Duct Tape your remote if you want to keep it on hand at all times. Food for thought.
